Learn more about Testwood Sports College
The Location

Testwood School opened in 1946 initially as a secondary school and then became a comprehensive school in 1969. The school serves the growing town of Totton which lies on the edge of the New Forest and is separated from Southampton by the River Test.

Testwood School enjoys a good reputation for care of pupils and high academic standards and is a natural choice for may parents in the area. Most pupils come from our two partner junior schools, Abbotswood and Calmore. Close and extensive liaison exists between all schools in this 'pyramid' to ensure an effective transition from junior to secondary school for all pupils.  Testwood became a Sports College in September 2004.

The Facilities

The school has specialist accommodation for most subjects with an additional 35 general purpose teaching rooms. Specialist accommodation includes nine purpose built technology rooms, three art rooms, a music suite, two drama studios, seven modern ICT rooms, a sports hall and gymnasium. The school Library is run by a Chartered Librarian and is open all the school day and after school for students. It has a wide range of reading material as well as 15 networked computers.

The ICT facilities are outstanding - there are 4 ICT Rooms with 26 networked computers in each and 1 CAD/CAM & Graphics Room containing 10 networked computers and three CAD/CAM machines as well as 4 portable trolleys with 15 lap top on each.  The majority of rooms also have network access.
